Eagles Play On BUT opponent changes

The Dryden Eagles are alive and kicking, after taking one of two ‘wild card’ berths at the 2004 OFSAA Championships in Orillia.

It will be “Breakfast with the Eagles” Wednesday morning, but there is a change in plans. Dryden High was to meet the Madill Mustangs from Wingham at 7 sharp. After a recalculation of tie breakers in seeds 6 through 8 the Eagles will get a rematch against the Algonquin Barons of North Bay, maybe… The coaches were still not satisfied with the tie breaker calculations and as of 10:00 EST time officials had not guarenteed the match up. The Barons pulled out a 1-0 in the final game of the round robin against the Eagles. Shawn Gladwish and Mike Ebbeling will have the pre-game show at about 6:45 and CKDR will continue our live coverage of the Dyden Egles Girls’ hockey team at their first ever OFSAA Championships.

The Eagles finished with a 1-1-1 record, good enough for a Wild Card place in the 12 team finals.
