The Dryden Eagles Girls Basketball team couldn’t control the Hammarskjold Vikings in the second half as the Thunder Bay champions drew first blood in a 51-29 win Friday in Game 1 of the NWOSSA Final.
Dryden entered the half time break down only one.
However, the Vikings pulled away in the second half with red-hot shooting from beyond the arc and a smothering defence.
The Eagles could only manage five points in the second half.
Sydney Allen led the way for Dryden with 13-points.
The Eagles will look to stave off elimination Saturday at 10:30am.
