Eagles, Rams Win in Boys Hockey

The Dryden Eagles peppered 77 shots on Rodney Kejick as the Eagles toppled the Pelican Falls Timberwolves 15-2 Friday night in Boys High School Hockey.
After a close first period, Dryden blew the game wide open with 12 goals in the final two frames.
Scoring 2 goals each were Shawn Cappovilla, Ben Bartlett, Austin Heile, Shawn McNeill and Dustin Harrington.
Ryan Runge, Michael Smith, Jordan Sampson, Jared Krantz and Cody Szachury all added singles.
Ian Selman made 16 saves to pick up the win.
The Eagles will rest up for a Tuesday evening date in Fort Frances.
In other boys High School play, Brevan Gawley and Dave Weese each scored 3 times as the Red Lake Rams hammered the Kenora Broncos 7-2.
Those 2 clubs will face off this afternoon at 1:30.
In girls play, Thomas Aquinas knocked off Red Lake 3-1.
