Eagles Soar in Golf Opener

The Dryden Eagle Golf team is off to a quick start to the High School
season.
The Eagles ‘Blue’ squad captured the opening tournament at Kitchen
Creek Golf Course in Fort Frances Tuesday.
The 5-member team (Chris Gardner, Jamie Railian, Scott Bevilacqua, Neil McCart and Brandon Wheatly) fired a 312, well ahead of second place Atikokan
and third place Red Lake.
In individual play, Dryden’s Chris Gardner shot a -3 par 69 to
take the Men’s tournament.
Atikokan’s Steve Brick finished second (72) and Dryden’s Neil McCart came
in third. (78)
The High School season resumes Wednesday in International Falls.
