It was a split at home for the Dryden Eagles Tuesday against the Fort Frances Muskies.
On the Volleyball Court, Dryden downed the Muskies in 4 sets in Junior Girls play. (10-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-19)
Carley Kaus says the team played well, despite a bad opening set.
Kaus says the next step is improving team communication.
The Dryden Seniors were victories in straight sets. (25-12, 25-17, 25-10)
Jessica Skillen says they still had some miscues on defense and intensity.
On the Basketball Court, a furious second half comeback fell just short as Dryden fell to Fort Frances 56-48 in Senior Boys play.
At one point, the Eagles trailed by 17-points.
Anders Ryan and Caleb Eshbach each netted 11 for the Eagles.
Eshbach says he was proud of the comeback effort and notes a few bad breaks went their way.
The Eagle Juniors lost 51-37.
Josh Reid led the Dryden attack with 11, while Brendan Szabo added 7.
Reid says they are improving each and every game, especially on defense.
