Eagles Split With Broncos In High School Hockey

The Dryden Eagles went 1-1 Wednesday night in NorWOSSA hockey action.

Beaver Brae was the opposition for both the boys and girls teams.

The Eagles girls cruised to an easy 12-1 win.

Meaghan Lundmark had 5 points and Sophie Koshel notched a hat trick for Dryden.

Joella Robinson’s only goal against came off the stick of Lexi Windego.

In boys action, the Broncos broke a 1-1 tie with two quick goals early in the third period before Dryden narrowed the lead later in the period.

An empty net goal with four seconds left sealed the 4-2 victory.

Connor Perron was in net for the win, Karsten Boss took the loss despite a solid game.

The Eagle boys will host Red Lake Friday at 2pm.
