The Dryden Eagle Senior Girls Basketball team went up against the top teams in Thunder Bay and came out in good shape.
The Eagles finished with a 1-2 record at a tournament in the Lakehead over the weekend.
Dryden opened with a 44-30 win over Hillcrest.
Tamara Duncan led the attack with 12, while Melissa Felske added 8.
Dryden followed with a 47-34 loss to Churchill.
Duncan netted 14, with Jessica Skillen adding 6.
The Eagles ended the Tournament with a 31-17 loss to Hammarsjold.
Brett Lobreau scored 5, with Melissa Felske adding 4.
Duncan was named to the Tournament All-Star Team.
Coach Mike Lalonde says they competed hard against the top 2 teams in Thunder Bay and carried a lot of intensity.
Lalonde says he’s excited about the future given his teams play over the weekend.
