The Dryden Eagles beat The Beaver Brae Broncos 6-2. After a lack luster first 20 minutes which saw the Broncos take a 2-0 lead the Eagles scored 6 unanswered to put the game away including 4 in the second. Josh Reid and Ryan Lobreau led the attack with 2 goals each while Grant Valiquette and Matt Bartlett scored singles. Zac Lake garnered the win between the pipes. Game 2 in the Best of 3 Semi-Final is Sunday at 6 o’clock in Dryden.
In other action the Fort Frances Muskies downed the Red Lake Rams 13-2 to take a 1-0 lead in their best of 3 semi-final. Game 2 in Sunday in Cochenour.
