Eagles Upset in Jr. Girls Basketball

A heart breaker for the Dryden Eagle Junior Girls Basketball team.

Hilary Moncrief drained two free throws with under 30-seconds left to play as the Kenora Broncos upset the hometown Eagles 28-27 in this morning’s NORWOSSA Semi-Final.

It was a back-and-forth affair the entire game.

Amy Knipping led the way for Dryden with 10-points while Elisa Mawby added 9.

The Broncos will take on the Muskies in the 3:45 Final.

In the Junior Boys Volleyball Semi-Final, the Fort Frances Muskies came back from a 2-1 deficit to beat the Beaver Brae Broncos in 5 sets.

The Muskies will face Dryden in the 2 o’clock Final.

In Seniors play, the Dryden Eagles will face the Fort Frances Muskies in the Senior-Boys Volleyball Final.

The Muskies beat the Kenora Broncos in 3 sets in the Semi-Final.

On the Basketball Court, the Dryden Seniors battle the Kenora Broncos.

The Broncos knocked off Fort Frances 29-13 in the Semi-Final.
