The Ear Falls Airport has become a casualty of new Provincial standards.
The Town will close its Municipal Airport August 15th, citing the financial pressures to maintain the facility and a lack of traffic.
Mayor Geoff McClain says its a challenge to find the money given the pressure to meet Government standards like safe drinking water.
McClain says it costs $10,000/year to maintain the Airport which rely’s on air charter and private air travel.
