The Ear Falls Airport has found a second life.
Last week, officials announced the facility would close in August, however sudden renewed interest from local tourist camp owners, air charter operators and other users has breathed new life into the Airport.
Mayor Geoff McLain says a committee has been formed to work on developing a strategy to improve the facility, increase traffic and reduce the Airport’s annual operating deficit.
The Airport is now scheduled to close on November 15th at the latest, with hopes of re-opening next summer.
