After years of waiting, the Town of Ear Falls has finally learned that
Ontario Power Generation is moving ahead with plans to expand the
Hydroelectric Generating Station.
OPG Spokesperson John Earl says the additional unit will produce
enough electricity to meet the yearly demands of 4,000 homes.

Earl says they hope to begin construction this summer and the new
unit should be fully operational by fall 2006.
