The Township of Ear Falls has received funding to hire a Community Economic Development Officer.
FedNor has announced nearly $265,000 over three years for the position.
The EDO will work with the local Economic Development Committee to pursue projects and participate in local and regional initiatives to enhance business and community development opportunities.
Priorities will include the implementation of a Business Retention and Expansion study and promoting Ear Falls as a business and recreation destination.
The EDO will also be responsible for leading entrepreneur and business training activities and events.
