Fixing 25-year-old roads, reducing water line breaks and sewer
backups as well as upgrading the Water Treatment Plant are all priorities
the Town of Ear Falls has identified.
Mayor Jim Desmarais is in Toronto for the annual Good Roads
Conference and he is armed with a $1 million wish list to fix failing infrastructure.
Desmarais says the Municipality has had to spend thousands of dollars on
annual upgrades and notes its taking away from other projects.
He adds new Provincial regulations has made it difficult to save
money and to conduct simple upgrades.
