Guests at a local hotel got a surprise early this morning when they were forced out of their beds.
Fire fighters were dispatched to a two story hotel on Government Street/Highway 17 for a fire alarm.
When they arrived at the hotel at four am they found smoke coming from a main floor room patio door.
Fire damage is limited to the wall heater and smoke damage to the room.
The cause of the fire centers around the wall heater motor.
All guests were able to return to rooms by 5 am.
