Education Program for Thomas Fiddler Students

Over 50-youth from Thomas Fiddler Memorial High School in Sandy Lake
First Nation now have winter survival skills under their belt.
The Grade 9 and 10 students have successfully completed the Boreal
Perspectives Natural Resources Education program.
Participants gained knowledge in a number of areas including first
aid, working in the bush, snowmobile maintenance and preparing for cold
temperatures.
The second part of the course was a talk given by Sandy Lake Elder
Isaih Harper who shared his knowledge of living on the land through the
various seasons.
