Efforts Continuing To Remove COVID Restrictions

More public health restrictions are being removed.

Immunization policies, specific to colleges and universities and public sector workers, were eliminated at the beginning of March.

Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Kieran Moore, says others are still under review.

“Letters of instruction have to be removed over time because they’re part of the reopening of Ontario act, and we’re reviewing all of them in the coming weeks and are building a schedule to remove them in partnership with the organizations that are affected,” says Dr. Moore.

Dr. Moore says those letters have done their job, noting an over 90 percent immunization rate among staff and students at Ontario’s colleges and universities.
