Election Changes Proposed

The government is moving to lift a ban on transmitting election
results before polls close in a certain region.
If the measure passes in Parliament, Internet users who share
early election results won’t be lawbreakers any more.
Minister for Democratic Reform Tim Uppal says the current system
of staggered voting hours means many polls close at the same time.
