The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board says it has reached a tentative agreement with substitute teachers who work at elementary schools.
The deal was negotiated this week with the Elementary Teachers Federation, which represents about 180 occasional teachers.
No details of the tentative contract will be released until both sides have had a chance to ratify it.
Bob Calder is a union spokesperson and says they will be holding ratification votes in Kenora next Wednesday and Thursday in Dryden.
Meanwhile, talks between the public school board and its secondary school substitute teachers are scheduled to resume on April 18th.
