Elementary school teachers with the Keewatin-Patricia District School board have ratified a new four year contract.
Votes were tallied yesterday and 256 public school teachers have voted in favor of the deal, which will provide them 200
minutes of preparation time a week.
Emily Noble is president of the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario and says the ratification vote shows that when they are offered a fair deal, the teachers will accept it.
Trustees with the public school board are expected to ratify the deal next Tuesday.
