Local elementary Teachers are being encouraged not to take part in any extra-curricular activities this fall.
This after a teacher gathering in Vermilion Bay for a strike vote.
Ann Saltel is the local represententitive for the union and says they voted 100% in favour of strike action.
She says while legislation passed this week doesn’t allow strikes, they do want to send a message.
Saltel says they are also encouraging teachers to take part in “McGuinty Mondays”, and refrain from any activities that might take them away from their classroom.
