Eliminating Government Agencies

The merger of the Ontario Mortgage Corporation and the Ontario Mortgage and Housing Corporation are just some of the changes being made by the McGuinty Government to reduce the number of government agencies across the province. McGunity’s plan calls for 5% or 14 agencies in Ontario to merge or close in an attempt to deliver better value to taxpayers. Some of the agencies being dissolved include The Crown Timber Board of Examiners, Northern Ontario Grow Bonds Corporation, and The Social Assistance Review Board.
