Emergency Personnel Mark 11th Anniversary Of 9/11

The ringing of 5 bells, 3 seperate times.
The honour payed by New York City in recognition of those who have died in the line of duty.
The Dryden Fire Service did the same this morning as it payed tribute to those who sacrificed their lives during the 9/11 attacks.
Acting Chief Ken Kurz says the event changed the world forever.
He says its a day of remembering and reflection.
Kurz notes the terrorist attacks did help emergency services better plan for a disaster.
Kurz says we continue to feel the effects of the terrorist attacks as a report out shortly is expected to identify 58-new cancers emergency workers have contracted following the event.
The ceremony also gave Kurz a chance to thank emergency personnel in the community.
