End of Registry Just Days Away

The Federal Long Gun Registry could be history as early as next week.
The Harper Government has moved to limit debate on the bill and Kenora MP Greg Rickford predicts the bill could be passed as early as next Wednesday.
A time allocation bill means debate will be limited to one day at the report stage and two days at third reading.
Rickford is defending the Harper Government’s decision to limit debate, noting enough time has been spent on this issue already.
Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP John Rafferty is also happy to see the long gun registry debate coming to an end.
The NDP member says its time to move on to more pressing issues like pension reform.
