A band-aid has been placed on the hemorrhaging forest industry
according to NDP Leader Howard Hampton.
The Kenora-Rainy River MPP says an extension of the price cap on
electricity rates should have been announced last Fall.
Hampton says the McGuinty Liberals haven’t done nearly enough noting the price of energy will not drop for Mills.
Starting in may, the rates charged to large industries will drop to
4.6-cents but will return to 4.7-cents in 2007.
Energy Announcement Means Things Won’t Get Worse
