Enhancements to Health Identified

The Northwestern Health Unit hopes to improve on some of its programs
and services in the region.
Medical Officer of Health Dr. Pete Sarsfield says the Board of Health
is looking at increasing their presence in smaller communities.
Sarsfield says they would like to spend more time in the smaller
communities, such as Pickle Lake, Sioux Lookout, Ear Falls and Sioux
Narrows-Nestor Falls.
He adds they would like to examine the infrastructure that’s
available in communities to help residents live a healthier lifestyle.
