Entire Region Reaches Record High Temperatures Wed

Yesterday was another record temperature day in Northwestern Ontario. According to CKDR meteorologist, Bill Laidlaw, the entire region set new record highs. The most notable was Dryden where a 56 year old record fell. The old mark was 10.6 set in 1954. Yesterday the mercury reached 14.9.
Ear Falls hit 13.9 yesterday – old record of 9.8 set 2009.
Red Lake reached 13.9 – old record of 10.6 set in 1969.
Sioux Lookout hit 14.5 – old record of 10.3 set 2009.
Atikokan skyrocketed to 17.4. old record of 11.5 set 2009.
Fort Frances reached 17.7 – old record of 15.2 set 2009
Kenora hit 13.7 yesterday – old record of 11.2 set 1969.

Laidlaw says we can expect temperatures to go back to normal – for a while.
