Environmental issues are going to be a bigger part of the curriculum in local schools.
The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board has hired a Special Assignment Teacher to introduce environmental topics in the classroom.
Kathy Boone says one of the things she has been doing is working with local trails groups and getting students outdoors.
Boone says she has a number of “green” issues she wants to focus on, including the expansion of a conservation camp in Dryden.
