A step in the right direction, but not nearly enough.
That’s the reaction of the Rainforest Action Network on the short-term
agreement reached between the Province and Grassy Narrows First Nation.
Spokesperson David Sone says logging will continue on traditional land
during negotiations and notes they plan more public awareness campaign’s.
Over the past 2-years, the environmental group has been known for
various blockades and protests over the Grassy Narrows issue.
