EQAO KPDSB Results

It’s a mixed bag of test results for the Keewatin Patricia District School Board.

Although the board sits below the provincial average in Ontario wide elementary school reading, writing and math assesments, Grade 6 students test results improved from the previous year.

Reading and Writing scores for Grade 6 students jumped from 46 & 44 percent to 54 and 53%.

In Grade 9 Math, the public board is soaring above the Provincial average in both accademic and applied classes.

39 percent of applied students are learning at a level 3 or 4 in math, compared to the provincial average of 35%.

75 percent of academic students are reaching the provincial standard, compared to 71% province wide.

However, Grade 3 students continued to struggle in the three core subjects and saw their marks decrease from the year before.

Reading marks dropped 7 percent, writing went down by one point, and math scores decreased by 5%.

The Education, Quality and Accountability Office released the 2006-2007 primary and junior test results on Wednesday.
