MP’s are now on their summer break following a lively spring session.
Kenora’s Eric Melillo believes the Conservatives did what they had to do to hold the government accountable.
“I’ve been very proud of our work as opposition to bring forward some very practical measures to help make life more affordable, to help address the affordability crisis, the housing issues that we’re seeing right across the country. I’m just looking forward as well though to getting back touring the riding.”
Melillo says he will be meeting with constituents from across the region to hear their concerns and bring them back to Ottawa this fall and advocating for the issues that matter here.
Members of Parliament wrapped up their work in the House of Commons for the season and departed for their ridings last Thursday afternoon after Liberal, NDP and Green MP’s voted to continue with hybrid sittings through 2023.
