Evacuation At Thunder Bay Mall

No one is hurt after police were forced to evacuate the Intercity Mall in Thunder Bay this afternoon during the noon hour after a weapons call.

Police spokesperson Julie Tilbury says the man was seen running out of the mall and then had a confrontation with an off duty officer and are now issuing an alert.

Police are searching for a white man, 5’7 with a slim build, in his 20s and is believed to wearing a short sleeve shirt with a drawing of a marijuana plant on it.

The man is armed with knife and what appears to be a firearm. (Photo by: John Ongaro)
