The results of a feasibility study for a proposed multi-purpose events centre in Red Lake will be presented to Council Tuesday night.
The complex would include an ice surface and performing arts spaces.
Mayor Phil Vinet says the Cochenour Arena is starting to show its age.
Vinet says the municipality had to make a major investment last summer to repair the roof of the aging facility.
He stresses it’s still a structurally sound building and it will still serve them well until they get a replacement.
Stantec will present its findings from the study at 6 o’clock.
Council will then debate whether or not to pursue funding opportunities for the complex.
The facility was constructed in 1962 thanks to volunteer labour efforts.
