Everything on Schedule for Atikokan Biomass Plant

Plans to convert the Atikokan Generating Station from coal to biomass appear on schedule for 2012.
Ontario Power Generation Spokesperson Ted Gruetzner says one of the focuses is on the future handling and storage of the material.
Gruetzner says they’re also studying supply contracts for the fuel and a power purchase agreement with the Ontario Power Authority.
He notes tests focusing on the feasibility of burning biomass are now complete.
