It’s a big weekend for the Dryden Falcons Minor Football program.
The team will attend the Winnipeg Blue Bombers-Edmonton Eskimos game Saturday and will play a controlled scrimmage against Kenora at Investors Field on Sunday.
Coach Neil McLeod says the kids enjoy this kind of experience and it’s always an exciting time.
McLeod says they just want to introduce the sport to youth in hopes they pursue it at a higher level.
He notes the program has seen tremendous growth since its inception in 2011.
McLeod says they started with 25-kids and this year they have 47 on the roster.
