More people in Ontario, and here across the Kenora district, are now eligible to access Legal Aid services.
The income level at which people can qualify has been increased by 6%.
The province says that means about 153,000 more people will be eligible for legal services from Legal Aid Ontario.
The government is putting $86-million into the system to meet the increase.
