Another season of experiments is over at the Experimental Lake Area, west of Vermilion Bay.
The International Institute of Sustainable development has wrapped up its experiments for the year.
Project Manager Matt McCandless says their first year at the helm of the research facility was a huge success.
He says ELA was able to keep the 45-year environmental data record unbroken.
However, he notes things went well after a rocky start.
He says agreement weren’t signed until April 1st, but thanks to the late spring, ELA had a few weeks to get everything up and running.
Experiments this year included nano-silver, and a report on the effects of birth control on fish populations.
