Security officials in both the U.S. and Canada are worried the so called lone wolf attacks will be the next phase of terrorism after two soldiers were killed last week by Canadians who had fallen prey to radical Islam.
Dr. David Charters of the Gregg Institute says the attacks were not a surprise or should not have been.
Dr. Charters says ISIS had called for so called lone wolf attacks even before Parliament had decided to take part in the Middle East mission against them.
He notes the Internet helps convey the terrorist message to young people who are impressionable.
