UPDATE: NY Governor says no evidence of terrorism in Rainbow Bridge incident

An investigation continues into a vehicle crash and explosion at the Rainbow Bridge border crossing near Niagara Falls, Ontario.

It happened Wednesday afternoon on the American side.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul has stated no evidence of terrorism has been indicated at this time.

Two people were reportedly killed in the incident.

All border crossings were closed for several hours as a precaution, The Rainbow Bridge crossing remains closed this morning, but all others have now reopened.

Federal Public Safety Minister Dominic Leblanc spoke about the incident yesterday, “Anytime a piece of infrastructure as important to Canada and the United States like a border corssing sees this kind of violent circumstance, it’s a source of concern for Canada and the United States.”
