Extreme Cold Conditions Across Our Region

“Baby, It’s Cold Outside.”

Our entire region remains under an “Extreme Cold Advisory” that’s been in place since Christmas Eve.

While daytime temperatures today could reach -25 or even -20, winchills of at least -30 are expected. Overnight, look for temperatures of -3- to -35 and windchills of -40 or even -45.

Drivers are reminded to pack warm clothing and blankets if travelling any distance. Take along a set of jumper cables just in case,

Exposed skin can freeze, causing frost bite in mere minutes.

Pet owners should keep their furry friends indoors as well.

The extreme cold conditions are expected to continue, with no let up in sight for the next couple of days.
