Extreme Cold Grips Region

Another day of extreme cold in our region.

Temperatures are once again expected to feel like minus 40 or colder, putting you at a higher risk of frostbite or hypothermia.

The warning is in effect for a large portion of the Northwest, including the Thunder Bay, Nipigon, Geraldton, Dryden, Ignace, Kenora, Fort Frances, Red Lake, and Sioux Lookout areas.

Environment Canada says while temperatures are expected to remain colder than average this week, the extreme cold should ease up for the next few days.
