Extreme Heat Update

Pets and humans seem to be fairing well during the current heat wave.
The Dryden Regional Health Centre hasn’t seen a dramatic jump in
Emergency Room visits and Doctors have only had to deal with roughly 6
heat related illnesses.
Dryden Veterinary Services hasn’t had to attend to a single dehydrated
animal however you are still reminded to keep your pets cool, out of the sun
and out of vehicles.
Local stores aren’t fairing as well as business owners are having a
difficult time keeping air conditioners and fans on the shelf.
The heat wave is expected to last through the weekend with no end in
sight.
