You should be in for a pleasant surprise when you open your next hydro bill.
The Ontario Fair Hydro Plan is now in place and Hydro One Director of Communications Jay Armitage says customers will see considerable savings.
Armitage says many of their customers should see a 31% decrease on their monthly hydro bills.
She notes that amounts to about $600 in savings a year.
Armitage says for some rural and northern customers, the decrease will be as high as 40%-50%.
