Falcon Lake Man Charged With Fraud

A Falcon Lake, Manitoba businessman faces a number of fraud charges following an investigation by the RCMP.
37-year-old Colin Durward reported the theft of over $500,000 worth of construction equipment from his business back in June.
Falcon Lake RCMP investigated the theft and recovered several tools and pieces of equipment.
RCMP allege many of the recovered items, including welders, drills and a table saw, were never stolen, despite contrary reports to the police and an insurance company.
Police say a $28,000 pick-up truck Durward also reported stolen in 2010 has been recovered, as was a hot tub reported stolen last year from a Falcon Lake Cottage.
Durward has been charged with three counts of fraud over $5,000 and 3-counts of public mischief.
