The fall ‘Seat Belt Campaign’ begins Wednesday on roads across northwestern Ontario.
Provincial Police say failing to wear a seat belt has contributed to 639 deaths in the last ten years.
OPP say 257,475 seat belt charges have been laid over the last decade, with 25-34 year-old’s being issued 63,846 charges, more than any other demographic.
Police says buckling up can reduce the chance of death and serious injury in a collision by roughly 50%.
