The City of Dryden will transform into a Winter Playground Monday for the First Winter Festival.
The day will start with a pancake breakfast at 9 o’clock at the Royal Canadian Legion.
Because it’s Family Day, a number of events are planned for kids of all ages.
Highlights include an Ice Fishing Derby, Sleigh Rides, Snowkite, a Shinny Hockey Tournament, Skating at the Memorial Arena and the 100 Snowmachines Ride.
The Festival ends with the closing ceremonies at 4 o’clock at the Centre.
Organizers will take time at the ceremony to pay tribute to all of those involved in the recent Olympic Torch Relay.
A complete list of events can be found at the community events page at www.ckdr.net
