Former Dryden Ice Dog captain Jon Mitchell will be playing Canadian University hockey next season.
The 2-time SIJHL Defenceman of the year and reigning League MVP has committed to the Nipissing Lakers.
Lakers Coach Mike McParland says the addition of Mitchell will help them on the power play and notes they are thrilled to add a player that has the leadership qualities that will help them on and off the ice.
Ice Dogs Bench Boss Clint Mylymock says he’s thrilled that Mitchell has received this opportunity and believes he will take his game up a notch while playing CIS Hockey.
