The Ontario Far North Act may pass third and final reading today (Thursday).
In the Legislature Wednesday, Conservative Northern Affairs Critic Randy Hillier urged the Government to hold off on passing the Bill, noting Northerners are strongly opposed to it.
Hillier says the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association and Northern Ontario Chamber of Commerce have strongly denounced the Legislation.
The Nishnawbe-Aski Nation has already stressed they will not recognize the Legislation and will hold numerous protests.
