A fatality has been confirmed following a head-on collision on Highway 17 between Dryden and Ignace this morning.
Officials with the Dryden and Ignace Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police arrived on the scene shortly after the incident at 1:00 a.m.
The next of kin has been notified of the death and an investigation is underway.
Highway 17 between Dryden and Ignace is expected to be closed for a lengthy period of time.
