Fatal Fire in Dryden

Early Sunday morning Dryden Fire and Police Services responded to a fire at a multi-unit residential building on Van Horne Ave. While Battling the blaze fire crews located an unconscious person from one of the units who was transported to the Dryden Regional Hospital, the 50 year old female was later pronounced deceased by medical staff. 9 other residents of the building were treated and released from hospital for smoke inhalation. An investigation into the cause of the blaze has been launched by the Dryden Police Service, Dryden Fire Service and The Office of the Fire Marshall.
